Hollander Design is honored to receive a Julia Morgan Award from the Northern California Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art for Pacific Views, a historic Montecito estate transformed in collaboration with McBournie Richards and Don Nulty.

Set on 11 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands, Pacific Views restores the clarity and grace of a landscape first established in 1914. Existing axes, mature specimen trees, formal gardens, and historic features were carefully preserved and strengthened, while new parterres, garden terraces, paths, and outdoor living spaces bring continuity and ease to contemporary family life. Guided by restraint rather than reinvention, the design reconnects architecture, garden, and distant views while staying true to the spirit of the estate’s layered history.
