Hollander Pollinator Rooftop Wins GRHC Design Award

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities has awarded the 2021 Small-Scale Residential Design Award to the 1500 square foot elevated garden we call Bridge View. Designed as an outdoor terrace on the second floor, this garden offers respite for people and pollinators alike.

A sinuous ipe-wood walk defines spaces for gathering around a firepit or enjoying spectacular views of the coastal waterway and bridge. Birds, butterflies and bees thrive on a planting palette that offers abundant blooms, hardy perennials and grasses like those found near the adjacent pond.

The GRHC awards recognize outstanding achievement in living architecture design and performance.
