End Magazine recognizes design excellence in Hollander Design projects in the Hamptons

Hollander Design was pleased to be recognized in two categories for 2018 awards: swimming pool design and art space in residence.

For the Swimming Pool Award, the jury praised the sinuous fence surrounding the Topping Farm Pool for its modern interpretation of a traditional picket fence. The jury said: “[The fence] makes sculpture out of the pool security barrier, allowing a reframing of the pond.”

For the Art Space in Residence award, the jury was enamored by Sculpted Landscape, where layers of crisply trimmed privet hedges frame art and contrast with sensuous sculptural forms. The jury said: “Crisp, clean, clear, but also daring. An architectural conceit for such plantings is seldom done so well as it is here.”
